Det: Goodwin, Z.A.; Lopez, G.N. 18 February 2011 Toledo: Deep River Forest Reserve North; ~8 km west of Southern Highway along BFREE access road, ~200 m south of access road. 16°31'30" N, 88°42'33" W Occasional fleshy herb to 20 cm (post-fire regrowth); large woody root system. i Open woody savanna grassland. Rare Sparsely scattered Pinus caribaea to 18 m (<5%) canopy; Sparse shrub layer of occasional Acoelorraphe wrightii 3-5 m, Byrsonima crassifolia 3 (-8) m & rare Curatella americana 3 m. Herb layer dominated by grasses, currently dry but clearly poorly drained (deep tussock formations). Evidence of past burning (>1 month previous). > Collector: Goodwin, Zoé A.
