Locality: South Korea: Kangwon-do, Jeongseon County: Hambaeksan; summit just below the miltary station. 37° 09’ 41.9" N 128° 55’ 5.2" E (WGS84). 1542m Covered with a few scattered, low trees of Abies nephrolepis but mainly with severly stunted trees and shrubs including: Berberis amurensis, Weigela subsessilis, Sorbus commixta, Prunus padus, Salix caprea, Betula ermanii, Euonymus sachalinensis, Thuya koraienesis (infrequently), Ribes fasciculatus, Quercus mongolica, Acer tschonoskii var. rubripes, Rhododendron schlippenbachii and Rh.
