Covered with a few scattered, low trees of Abies nephrolepis but a mainly with severly stunted trees and shrubs including: Berberis amurensis, Weigela_ subsessilis, Sorbus commixta, Prunus padus, Salix caprea, Betula ermanii, Euonymus sachalinensis, Thuya koraienesis (infrequently) Ribes fasciculatus, Quercus mongolica, Acer tschonoskii var. rubripes, Rhododendron schlippenbachii and Rh. yedoensis Description: Deciduous shrub to 1.5 m tall; leaves plum- coloured ROYAL BOTANIC GARDEN EDINBURGH Collector: M.F.
