Altitude: 650m
Submontane elfin forest, exposed summit dominated by
Purdiaea belizensis, Clusia sp & Ternstroemia tepezapote.
Numerous epiphytes, filmy ferns and bryophytes. Thin soil over
granite rock covered with a thick, spongy layer of mosses,
Green fruit subtended by conspicuous yellow & red Cupule
pungent lemon-like scent to crushed leaves, flower buds in
ciusters of 7.
