Vicinity of Xiaochala, ca. 1 km NW of the mouth of the Shuangla He and ca. 25.5 direct km N of Gongshan on the road from Gongshan to Bingzhongluo, on the W side of the Nujiang. Elev. 1700 m 27° 58' 27" N, 98° 39' 18.3" E E facing 10-30° slope Subtropical evergreen broadleaf forest Disturbed by clearing. Secondary substropical evergreen broadleaf forest, disturbed by clearing and dorminated by Pinus and Lindera. Shrub, 50 cm tall. Fruit green to brown. Common. Growing at forest margin. In loam on slate.
