NNE of Datang. W side of Gaoligong Shan.
Elev. 2900 m 25° 44' 43.6" N, 98° 43' 1.8" E
SW facing 30-60° slope
Subtropical evergreen broadleaf forest
Undisturbed.
Forest dominated by Rhododendron, Salix, Gaultheria, Rubus,
Lyonia, and bamboo.
Tree ca. 8 m tall. Flowers yellowish white. Dominant. Growing
in forest in sun.
In loam on marble.
