Tuoping Cun, ca. 40 km S of Fugong on the W side of the Nujiang, E side of Gaoligong Shan. Elev. 1080 m 26° 31°58" N, 982 53°42" E E facing 10-30° slope. Subtropical evergreen broadleaf forest. Disturbed by agriculture. Disturbed secondary forest dominated by Fagaceae and Pinus yunnanensis. Shrub ca. 2 m tall. Rare. Growing in shady area as understory shrub. In loam on limestone.
