Yaduo Cun, in the vicinity of Mabiluo, N side of N fork of Yamu He, E side of Gaoligong Shan. Elev. 2170 m 27° 9’ 21" N, 98° 48’ 20" E SW facing 30-60° slope. Subtropical evergreen broadleaf forest. Disturbed by felling. Forest with dominants of Fagaceae and Lauraceae. Tree 8-9 m tall. Flowers red. Stamens red, anthers black. Fruit with brown hairs. Rare. Growing in forest on slope.
