Canopy 16-23m, growing in association with Ca/ophyllum brasiliense, Bursera simaruba & Metopium brownei, lots of Moraceae saplings & Piperaceae shrubs in understory. Altitude: 10m Shallow leaf litter, heavy brown soil over limestone bedrock, >36 yrs since farming. Sapling 2.5m tall, common canopy tree.
