Belize: Belize District, Peccary Hills Conservation Area, ~30 km
southwest of Belize City.
17° 18° 43.11" N 88° 24° 21.07" W (WGS84)
Amongst clumps of Curatella americana & Quercus sp shrubs.
Altitude: <10m
Open pine ridge savannah, recently flooded.
Clusters of woody unbranched stems to 50 cm; 4 white petals &
4 magenta anthers with prominent magenta appendages;
berries dark purple at maturity.
