Det by Z.A.Goodwin on Aug 07 Belize: Stann Creek District, Cockscomb Basin Wildlife Sanctuary, 2km E of visitors centre, along access road just inside reserve. 16° 47° 24" N 88° 26° 32" W (WGS84) South-facing roadside, in tropical evergreen, lowland, seasonal broadleaf forest: Yucatan variant, frequently cut back and disturbed. Growing in association with Leandra mexicana Clidemia capitellata, Clidemia hirta, Arthrostemma ciliatum & Clidemia dentata. Altitude: 100m Red clay-based soil in floodplain of tributary to South Stann Creek, granite bedrock with occasional limestone pockets.
