Sichuan Province, Kangding Xian: Mugecho Lake. 30°8'49"N,
101°51'37"E; 3700--3800 m. Abies, Larix, Betula forest with
Rhododendron thickets interspersed and with Rhododendron
understory in many places. In forest. Shrubs ca. 4 m tall; young
leaves densely white wooly, turning brown at maturity; ovary with
glandular hairs.
