Forest dominated by Rhododendron, Acer, Lauraceae, Ilex, and Tsuga. Tree ca. 8 m tall. Pedicel and ovary yellowish brown. Persistent style yellowish green. Stigma dark brown. Occasional. Growing in forest in sun. In loam on limestone.
