Understory is dense layer of Polybotrys caudata, young Attalea cohune, Costus pulverulentus, Calathea micans, and numerous Psychotna and Miconia sp. Altitude: 100m Red clay-based soil in floodplain of tributary to South Stann Creek, granite bedrock with occasional limestone pockets.
