Belize: Corozal District, Fireburn Reserve, ~2 km E of Fireburn
village, ~100 m west of fieldbase.
18° 12° 24.9" N 88° 11° 24.7" W (WGS84)
Tropical, evergreen broadleaf forest: Yucatan variant. Growing
in association with Simarouba glauca, Protium copal,
Cassipourea guianensis & young Sabal mauritiiformis. Canopy
of ~16 m.
Altitude: <10m
Area farmed >36 yrs previously. Thick leaf litter layer, limestone
bedrock.
Rare sapling, 1.6m with copious milky white sap.
