Tropical evergreen, lowland, seasonal, broadleaf forest:
¥ Yucatan variant, canopy height 17+m, 80% canopy cover.
Understory is dense layer of Polybotrys caudata, young Attalea
cohune, Costus pulverulentus, Calathea micans, and numerous
Psychotria and Miconia sp.
