Balfour & Kingdon-Ward Lushui Xian, Luzhang Zheng. Area above Yaojiaping forest station, Sanjiang River, E side of Gaoligong Shan. Elev. 2737 m 25° 59’ 1" N, 98° 42’ 23" E S facing 10-30° slope. Deciduous broadleaf forest. Disturbed by felling. Originally with tall Tsuga but now all cut and regenerating, mixed with Lithorcarpus and Cyclobalanopsis. Shrub ca. 50 cm tall. Calyx reddish green.
