Vicinity of km 32 on the road from Pianma to Gangfang along the China-Myanmar border, W side of Gaoligong Shan. Elev. 1600 m 26° 7° 19" N, 98° 34’ 25" E N facing 30-60° slope. . Subtropical evergreen broadleaf forest. Disturbed by clearing. Secondary subtropical evergreen forest disturbed by clearing. Dorminated by Lithocarpus and Ilex Shrub 30-50 cm tall. Young fruit green, covered with hairs. Occasional. Growing in forest edge on slope, in shade. In loam on limestone.
