Dwarf shrub to 70cm; mature stems grey, young shoots
yellow; leaf upper surface green, yellow brown below,
aromatic; in fruit
Mixed forest with Rhododendron campanulatum and dwarf
scrubland dominated by Rhododendron anthopogon and
Potentilla fruticosa
