BELIZE: Cayo: 200 m west of Las Cuevas Research Station,
Chiquibul Forest Reserve. Shrubby forest edge on roadside with
Coccoloba and Composites. ca 575 m. 16°43'54.4"N,
88°59'16.9"W.
Tree 4 - 5 m, trunk 10 cm diameter and branching in two at 50
cm above ground (1 of those branches without leaves), smooth
bark and slash oozes watery, red to pink exudate from layer
between inner bark and wood; upper leaf glossy green,
underside dull olive with brown-golden dots. Flowers male,
creamy white - yellow.
