Layshi Township, North of Layshi (ca 0.8 map miles from town center) along road leading to Paya Taung mountain, just below water tank and rest area. 25°27'15.4"N, 94°57'36.2"E 1365 m. Growing amongst disturbed wayside vegetation, next to road at edge of forest. Shrub. 1.8 m tall; young branches light green with dark purple-red splotches, bark tan with darker orangish lenticels;young fruit green, stigma white.
