Stem short, woody-like with scars of older leaves. Leaves waxy on the upper side, paler green on the under side. Young leaves with abundant red hairs on the under side. Pedicel of the inflorescences long, hairy and bright dark pink. Male flowers with white petals and bright yellow stamens. Female flowers with white petals, pinkish at the base, with bright yellow stigmas. Bracts pinkish. Fruits and wings green, pink when mature.
