Herb. Stem circular, green and soft inside, woody appearance, of a dark
green or golden colour, with abundant adventitious roots, showing scars of
old leaves. Petioles of old leaves softer than the ones of younger leaves.
Young leaves very thin, soft and waxy, darker green on the upper side in
the areas close to veins, with abundant red hairs on the under side and
some hairs on the upper side of leaves. Old leaves shiny and glabrous.
