Baker Det: Goodwin, Z.A. 11 August 2009 Orange Walk: Rio Bravo Conservation and Management Area, 1.9 km south of Hill Bank Field Station. 14 m 17°35'02" N, 88°41'56" W Flower and leaf spike in bare ground between grass tussocks, corm 6 - 13 cm long; yellow flower, abaxial surface of outer perianth segment orange, abaxial surface of inner perianth segment yellow; absence of smell. Butterfly pollinated. Rare. Open grassland savanna: grass tussocks, Acoelorraphe wrightii clumps, Crescentia cujete & Myrica cerifera. Fine soil.
