HERB. HORT. EDINB. Flora of Belize Apocynaceae Blepharodon mucronatum (Schitdl.) Decne. Det: Stott, GL 31 July 2017 Belize: 750 m south of mile 31 from Belize City on the Western Highway, Monkey Bay. 45 m 17°18'56" N; 88°33'52" W Herbaceous climber , growing from ground on Quercus sp. Much white latex produced from broken stems and leaves. Green petals covered in small white hairs, especially at margins. White corona with anthers connivent around the style. A few flowers present. Fruit bulbous at base and tapering to a point 5 cm x 2 cm. Not locally abundant. Open canopy species-rich pinewood with well developed understorey.
