Annot. Tree, scarcely buttressed,
/ height 100 feet, bole 75 feet, d.b.h,
24 inches. Bark grey with infrequent
brown, pustular lenticels. Under bark
red; inner bark red with white streaks,
granular, cambium cream. Wood straw
to deep pink, brittle across the
grain. Leaves dark green, glossy.
| Flowers red to pinkish red, Perianth
tube falling with stamens at apex,
