Habitat: In mid-mountain grasslands, on lacustrine deposits; associates Wendlandia, Grevillea, Timonius. Annot. Shrubby, small tree, crooked branches, height 10', bole 3', d.bsh. 4". Bark reddish brown, to grey, verrucose, powdery surface, inner bark reddish, soft, corky 3! thick. Blaze reddish pink. Wood: sap straw, heartwood red-brown. Leaves bluish green, dense matted hairs beneath. Flowers light yellow. Fruit hard, woody cone, surface red brown, velvety. boeal name muru muru, Garaina dialect. Fam.
