Gale’s Point (sea to Quashie Trap lagoon) seaward end, c. 2 km S of Bar River mouth, Transect 2, c. 17°13’N 88 18’ W. On the margin of a hydrologic savanna just landward of thicket vegetation at the edge of the beach. Wide-crowned tree, 4.5 m tall. Bark greyish, with characteristic Byrsonima pattern. Flowers yellow.
