Vernacular name: Murici 24 km from Cacoal on the highway to Ji-Paran4 (BR 364), 11°24’S 61°38’W, alt. 100m. In ‘thicket’ cerradao with a very dense low shrubby layer. Shrub, 3.5m tall, 4cm dbh. Bark smooth, somewhat fissured below, showing the characteristic nodal rings of Brysonima, covered in white lichens. Flowers yellow.
