Habitat: Common in full sun on a dry west facing roadside embankment/rocky outcrop with seedlings of Pseudotsuga menziesii, Holodiscus discolor, Thuja plicata and Pinus contorta var. contorta, Arctostaphyllos uva-ursi and Arctostaphyllos columbiana.
Description: Evergreen spreading shrub to 0.6M with obovate leaves to 3cm x 2cm, glossy green above and light green/hirsute below. Fruit a red flattened spherical berry to 0.7cm x 1.5cm.
