Habitat: Steep river side banks, mostly north facing. Dense mixed deciduous forest
Description: Very upright evergreen shrub to 12 feet. Leaves oblong, rugulose, indumentum floccose, light fawn. Capsules small, glabrous, to 1inches long. Calyx cupular 1-2mm. Nine flowers per truss
