Description: Solitary flowers 18x7mm hanging vertically, orange laterally compressed, tubes 15x4.5x5.5mm laxely hairy and scaly, lobes 4x4mm, erect or very slightly spreading overlapping to half way, erose branches minutely hairy and scaly, petiole hairy and grooved, midvein impressed above smooth but distinct below, scales distinct after 0.5mm distinct but rather irregularly disposed. Stamens irregularly filling mouth anthers exserted to corolla lobe tips. Flower bud brown c. 3x2.5mm smooth with a few scales near top of bracts and white ciliate margins, calyx scaly and hairy with a fringe of long hairs on margin! Ovary densely silvery scaly (no hairs) c. 2.5x1.5mm, filaments glabrous white, styles glabrous green stigma clavate pink hardly expanded, anthers dark purple c. 1mm long. Pedicel green 7x0.75mm. Note does not key out in Sleumer because of laxely hairy corolla outside but otherwise agrees well.
