Habitat: Very rich coastal forest which is subject to coastal cloud much of the year. Dominant species include Beilschmiedia miersii.
Description: Perennial to 80 cm; corolla deep orange-red, almost with a black centre, disc greenish white, filaments green, anthers yellow.
