Description: Specimen with flower buds. The lepidote but scales with finely ciliate margin, as well as the leaves suggest Section Maddeni 18/9/28. Now in bloom - many fallen corolla. Lobes and uppper part of corolla pinkish purple (with darker spotting inside) fading to white at the base: anthers brownish yellow. The corolla is finely lepidote on the outside, glabrous within; the scales compressed laterally, (as in Rh. dendricola). Stamens 10, 4 in pairs, two (upper and lower, shortest and longest) single: base of filaments hairy. They form a close pallisade round the ovary. Longest 3 Stamens exserted. Style glabrous, longer then longest stamens, well exserted. 24/8/28.
