Collecting locality: Belize:Corozal:Sarteneja; 4 Km Southwest of Sarteneja; transition between lowland forest on limestone and mangrove lagoon.
Latitude: 18°18'59''N, Longitude: 88°9'40''W
Habitat: Open saline coastal savanna. Open grassland dominated by Distichlis spicata & sedge (50%) with occasional dwarfed Cameraria latifolia, Jacquinia macrocarpa, Avicennia germinans, Conocarpus erectus var. sericeus & rare Manilkara zapota. Frequent lowland deciduous forest islands with Bravaisia berlandieriana, Thrinax radiata, frequent Metopium brownei, Acacia sp & Gymnopodium floribundum. Some areas with exposed mud & limestone outcrops, 20%; area frequented & burnt by local deer hunters however not burnt for at least 4 years.
Description: Occasional shrub to 3 m; flowers with 4 cream petals with a yellow centre & 4 anthers.
