Habitat: Transition between open Eleocharis marsh and open savanna grassland with extensive palmetto patches. Eleocharis-dominated marsh, ground still damp and wet at end of long dry season with small patch of open water at centre; fringed by numerous sedges. Not burnt recently.
Description: Abundant herb in damp mud patches between sedge tussocks at marsh fringe.
