Habitat: Dense pine & oak savanna woodland. Abundant Pinus caribaea to 16 m, frequent Quercus oleoides 15 m, Curatella americana 8 m, Calliandra houstoniana 2 m, Waltheria indica 1 m, & occasional Byrsonima crassifolia 5 m. Burnt previous dry season.
Description: Frequent herb to 50 cm; single-stem; hirsute inflorescence a dense cluster of purple pea flowers.
