Habitat: Open pine forest, with Pinus caribaea. Specimen growing in grassy understorey. Well drained, granitic, sandy soil. Also present Dilleniaceae, Connaraceae, Arecaceae (Palmate palm).
Description: Herb to around 50cm. Stems and leaves yellowy pale green, stems becoming reddish towards the node at the base. Inflorescence red base, with mottled red and white centre and green tip. White feathery hairs towards top of stem. No latex. No significant smell.
