Habitat: Water logged soil at edge of forest, at boundary of managed grassland. Mixed with other tall grasses and sedges, growing in the shade, under tree canopy.
Description: Tall sedge, reaching up to 1.5m. Square stems. Mature flowers appear reddish-brown, younger flowers have a blue/green sheen to them. Pale yellow/cream rhizomes at the base of the stems, under soil.
