Collecting locality: Belize:Orange Walk:Rio Bravo Conservation and Management Area. Approx. 2.5 km ESE of Hillbank Field Station.

Habitat: Open pine forest of Pinus caribae.. Also among Acoelorraphe wrighti., Curatella american., Connaracea., Gramineae and other understorey herbs. Soil sandy with ash in top 20 cm.
Description: Understorey herbaceous plant to 40 cm. Topside of leaf mid green colour, lower side silvery green. Flowers bright purple colour to 3 mm long. Stem with a deep red hue. No smell detected. Flowers nearly over.
