Habitat: In open areas amongst scattered Abies by hotels in Ulu Dag village and in large no.s by the [Teleferik?] for the mountain. By melting snow in leafy soil often growing with C. gargaricus.
Description: Pale to deep purplish-blue fls, the outer segs often with a deeper basal colour externally. Occasional {illegible]. Throat yellow. Stigmas and styles yellow to orange. Considerable size variation in fl. some as large as modern C. chrysanthus hybrids! Honey scented. Tunic annulate.
