Habitat: Tropical evergreen, lowland, broadleaf forest: Yucatan variant (Cohune ridge). Canopy 10-23m, very shallow leaf litter, heavy brown soil over limestone bedrock, 16-36 yrs since farming.
Description: Young 4m sapling, 2cm dbh. Smooth pale bark with regular rings from stipule scar. Sticky clear sap from twigs, rough underside to leaves
