Habitat: Tropical evergreen, lowland, broadleaf forest: Yucatan variant (Cohune ridge). Canopy 10-23m, very shallow leaf litter, heavy brown soil over limestone bedrock, 16-36 yrs since farming.
Description: 26m tall tree, 23.3cm dbh. Has small buttresses and light grey bark with small nodules and regular scars that circle the trunk. Thin bark layer, hard wood (difficult to slash) pale yellow wood (turns brown), thin milky-coffee coloured sap.
