Habitat: Shallow leaf litter, heavy brown soil over limestone bedrock, >36 yrs since farming.; Vegetation: Tropical evergreen, lowland, broadleaf forest: Yucatan variant (Cohune ridge). Canopy 16-20m, growing in association with Calophyllum brasiliense, Bursera simaruba & Metopium brownei.
Description: 5m tall sapling, 4.8cm dbh. Clear sap from leaves, red/orange slash, no sap and no scent from slash.
