Habitat: Lowland pine savannah on damp ground.
Description: Plant habit- tufted, rhizomatous; Ligule-indistinct membrane with entire margin, <0.5mm long; Blade not keeled, bristlelike; Culm internodes hollow; Culm cylindrical; Sheathes rounded; Forming dense tussocks of needle grasses which dominate the field layer.
