Description: Stems stiff amd twisting, greenish with purple hairs when young, light brown when older. leaves soft mid-green, much paler below, hairs white. Pedicel crimson. Calyx and corolla light scarlet with red hairs (NB calyx whitish, corolla orange-red in centre where light is limited). Corolla internally pale red, lower 3 lobes with pale yellow centre and darker red lines. Filaments purple, anthers dark grey, pollen grey. Disc yellow, immature gyoecium pale green.
