Collecting locality: Belize:Orange Walk:Savanna West between Crooked Tree Wildlife Sanctuary & New River Lagoon; ~2 Km South of access road from Crooked Tree Village.
Latitude: 17°44'14''N, Longitude: 88°35'51''W
Habitat: Open woody savanna with large white, sandy patches, palmetto clumps & small oak thickets. Occasional Quercus oleoides (locally abundant) 5 m, frequent Pinus caribaea 5-8 m, Curatella americana 3 m, Acoelorraphe wrightii 3 m & Chrysobalanus icaco 1 m. Grass dominated herb layer in oak thicket.
Description: Rare herb; large flowers consisting of a white tubular corolla with 4 pale pink stripes inside & 4 rose pink corolla lobes, 4 white anthers, gynoecium with a pink style & a white stigma.
