Rhododendron javanicum subsp. palawanense Argent
Country of origin: Not recorded
Description: Very close to var. _kinabaluense_ but differs in the longer flower-tubes, the almost glabrous ovary (lacking silvery scales as well as only having a few scattered simple hairs) and a longer style with a smaller stigma. Flowers orange with yellow star, highlighted with dark pink at the edge. Anthers purple.
