In full sun on dry light loam on rock with Bergenia stracheyi and Polygonum affine on a west facing old granite rock slide. 3310 m. Evergreen shrub to 30cm with pale grey shoots and stems, elliptic/obovate leaf to 2.scem x O.5em, dull deep red above covered in silver scales and pale greeny red below, mucronulate, pale brown capsules to 6mm with style to 5mm.
