A typo floribus luteis, ovario et tomentoso et glanduloso distincta : a subsp. himerto ovario glanduloso, a Rh. citrinifloro Balf. f. et Forrest indumento haud lanato differt. This species is recognised by its yellow flowers and glandular ovary. Formerly several of the numbers quoted here were under Rh. citrint- florum, Balf. f. et Forrest, others were under Rh. himertum Balf. f. et Forrest, from the former the indumentum is a sufficient distinction and from the latter the presence of glands on the ovary, Forrest 16727 (type of subsp. melleum. ‘‘S.E. Tibet, Tsarong. Duplicate of 1917. Flowers yellow. Folia petiolata ad 6 cm. longa; lamina elongato-obovalis deorsum subattenuata, apice rotundata vel late obtusa nunc retusa mucronata, margine exigue recurva, basi obtusa ; supra perviridis glabra laevis costa media angusta sulcata venisque primariis utrinsecus circ. 8 vix conspicuis ; subtus subcervina (costa media et venis primariis elevatis flavido-griseis) indumento bistrato e pilis crasse stipitatis longe ramosis intricatim intertextis et pilis rosulatis brevi-ramosis constructo superficiem opacam sublanatam subalveolarem fingente vestita ; petiolus brevis ad 5 mm. longus nunc subnullus ut rami vestitus. Umbella ad 6-flora; pedicelli ad 3 cm. longi sebacei-floccosi eglandulosi. Calyx parvus circ. 1.5 mm. longus carnosulus ; cupula undulatim 5-loba ; lobi semilunati vel late ovati margine floccoso-ciliati dorso puberuli. Corolla campanu- lata pallide citrina ad 3.5 cm. longa 5-loba; lobi rotundati emarginati. Stamina 10 inaequalia longiora stylum aequantia ; filamenta sparsim glanduloso-puberula. Discus glaber. Forrest. 19,153. July 1919. Points - Indumentum is exactly that of RH. CHLANIDOTUM only have not mycelicid - but here there is no tomentum or stem like that in Rh. chlanidotum and then the pedicels have no glands here whilst in Rh. chlanidotum we have setulose glands. Points:- Small obovate leaves erubescent below, under indumentum ‘ bistrate:rosulate upper stratum detersile; pedicels floccose not glandular, small flowers, calyx lanately tomentose lobes semi- lunate green and ciliate.
